Our Friends and Family Spending time with our family and friends is an important part of our life and we know they will all welcome your child with open arms and hearts. Melinda’s parents live in Bodega Bay, just north of San Francisco, and her sister and brother-in-law live in Los Angeles, CA. They have one little girl and one on the way. When together, we fly kites on the beach and hike along the coastal range. Mary’s family is very close but geographically spread out; they live in St. Louis, Virginia and New York. Twice a year the extended family gathers in St. Louis for a week of fun and festivities. We also have a diverse group of friends. Our community really feels as much like family to us as our own family does. We routinely travel to New Orleans, San Francisco and Seattle to visit close friends there. Many of our friends have kids of varying ages, and we are Aunt Mel and Mary to many more than just our actual nieces and nephews!
